Site News: Not many updates this month. Too busy with backlogged projects!

Carnifex Press's "Monroi Pass: Book 2" is scheduled for release in August and
"Monroi Pass: Book 3" is now scheduled for release in December.

Some good news... my stories for Carnifex Press's Freehold shared world series
have moved up in their release dates. "The Thorn Key" is to appear in "Monroi
Pass: Book 2." It's follow-up, "Greenkeep," is to appear in "Monroi Pass: Book
3."

Tragic, nearly unspeakable news.... Pitch Black Books is closed. This means
that all is current and anticipated projects, including "Flashing Swords" and
"Lords of Swords 2," have been canceled. What this in turn means is that we
lovers of sword and sorcery have lost an important market -- and that 3
accepted stories of mine will be back in the slush pile...
On the Bookshelf: Not much but magazines. Hopefully, that will change.

Greek in the December 2006 issue of Universe Pathways.

and the Gray Mouser Adventures," will be appearing in "Fritz Leiber: Critical
Essays," edited by Benjamin Szumskyj. You can find out more information at

I've been invited to participate in two more sword and sorcery anthologies.
On the Bookshelf: Well, I just got a dog so... American Kennel Club's "Dog
Care and Training" (1991), Joe Kennedy's "The Small Business Owner's
Manual" (2005), and William Peter Blatty's "Legion" (1983).
Site News: Updating dead links... I've also combined the Table of Contents
with the Home page, added a "Read Stuff" section, revised the "What's New?"
navigation bar, and added tons of book reviews, essays excerpts, and short
story excerpts to the site.
